Part of the Twinning Develop of Adult Education, the Centre for Adult Education launches a Pilot Programme leading to Skills certification focused on the Restoration and Rehabilitation of Traditional Dwelling. Our option is Training on Worksite in the surroundings of Skopje.
Our approach is competence- oriented, a third of the time devoted to the theory andtwo thirds to practice on-the-spot. The concept is learning by doing.
3 topics will be taught and certified:
- Diagnosis of a decayed building, identification of damage, prescription of work to be done,
- Site preparation and safety at work
- Main technical activities to perform: timber framework, masonry, stone cutting, roofing.
This Vocational Training will provide a new qualification in the field of traditional skills and using natural materials available in the vicinity of the housing,taking into account the conditions of good comfort, energy saving, and sustainable development concerns.
And it can help to make some areas attractive for tourism and promotion of Macedonian identity.
This training will be offered to job seekers, experienced workers and beginners. Estimated start early February 2013.
The project will be manage by CAE and by a short term expert, Short Term Expert involved in Heritage Conservation in France.
It will be implemented by VET Zdravko Cvetkovsk, with the assistance of 2 macedonian experts, Lazar Sumanov and Petar Namicev.
